Default Birth skills by Juju Sundin

I'm starting to prepare mentally for the birth of my third baby. Has anyone read Birth Skills and used what they learned during labour? Interested to hear either good or bad reviews. Just wondering what you thought.
    Thanks!

Hi lovely I am so excited for you - you have come so far. I know it must feel like a long time for you - but your little one is almost finally here when is your due date?

I read this book with my first born and found it really useful and practical (I borrowed it from the library) - there are some good visualisations in it. It’s been so long now I can’t recall all the content but I remember being happy and prepared with it.

Good luck I will be thinking of you x

If ever I recommend a birthing bible (book ) it’s this one! I can’t recommend it highly enough. It has some very good tips and ones that aren’t un-realistic. It explains pain/physiological side too. It truly helped me labouring and birthing 3 vbac babies all with no drugs due to strategies I learnt in the book etc.

Oh, it's so lovely to hear from you. Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. I think of you and wonder how you are going too??

It's good to hear your recommendation, thanks. I didn't do much preparation for labour for my first 2. I think bc I know what lies ahead this time I want to have some extra tools up my sleeve. I'll definitely give this book a go.

I'm about 32 weeks, so not too long to go. I'm a mixture of very excited (to meet bub) and very nervous (bc I'm less naive than I was last time). Just trying to stay positive.

    Thanks again x

I recommend this book to everyone and my copy is well read. I found just having read the strategies they were just that little more in the forefront of my mind when I was in the thick of it through three quick inductions.

I loved it too, used a few of the strategies to get me through early labour. Too well - the baby then arrived at home I still need to learn how to keep my cool during the later stages of labour so am going to try hypnobirthing for my next birth x
