Default where to get scans done in Melbourne

Just wondering where you go in Melbourne to get scans to check endometrial thickness and triple lining. Did they give you the images straightaway?

I am doing a trial donor egg cycle and was supposed to get scans done to check for endometrial thickness and triple lining. I'm supposed to send the images to overseas clinic but when I went to Mia radiology, they refused to give me any images or results. They said I had to go to referring doctor. When I got results from doctor there were no images supplied - just a report.

I’ve never been given an images of my lining scans only reports (IVF) not sure if they do them?

Monash Ultrasound for Women in Box Hill or Epworth Richmond are great. I'm guessing you don't have a FS or GP here who is helping to manage your cycle, prescribe meds etc? Some of the sonographers have a lot of experience in scanning for OS egg donor cycles. Just call them and let them know what you need.

Specialist imaging for women in Ivanhoe. Run by previous Ob’s and Gynaes trained in radiology. They’re great.

Western imaging for women in Edge Water are great. I’m sure they’d give them to you if you asked. I changed doctors and asked for a copy of my results. They were posted the same day.

Your GP typically needs to send a referral I think?
Capital Radiology in Carlisle St, Balaclava are very thorough. They charge a lot less than WUME at the Epworth Freemasons.

    Thanks everyone!
I am going through my GP but he just writes out scripts for whatever the overseas clinic needs. Looks like I will have to shop around to find out who will be most helpful.

I finally got the images but only after some convincing. I am confused why they initially refused and then gave me a hard time when I persisted. Afterall, I paid for them, they are my scans so I should have every right to them. When I get x-rays or MRI done, they always give the images to me without question!

I’ve never been bulk billed. In my experience though you get what you pay for. Any scan I’ve had that’s been bulk billed has been terrible. They’re not cheap this place but if you can afford it they’re by far the best women’s health sonographers I’ve seen and I’ve had my fair share of internal ultrasounds
