Most of what you wrote really resonates with me. I have very similar experiences.

I’ve also just recently begun to wonder whether my anxiety could be connected to the way my brain works.

I’ve always been incredibly analytical, and I’ve needed my brain to be busy. As a kid that meant that I worked at school, and spent most of my spare time reading. As an adult, I work part time and spend a lot of my time with my young kids.

I have pretty bad anxiety. However... I suspect that I wouldn’t if my brain were busy. If I spent most of my time doing mental tasks or reading like I used to, then I wouldn’t be able to spend my time over-analyzing my life, my relationships, social interactions etc.
