Default Choosing a Clinic & Donor

    Hello All,

I’m very new to this forum & have started reading through various egg donor posts.

A long story short my partner & I have done 10 IVF cycles (combo of stim cycles, FET & freeze all) in short - after moving to our 3rd FS NL in Victoria we finally found immune protocol that works. Unfortunately we have probably sacrificed “normal” Embryos on this 3 year journey.
Now we are prepping for our last FET of 2x Day 3 Embryos on ice than I’m 100% ready to move on to Donor.

I would appreciate any advice & tips on how to choose clinis and how to go about choosing a donor.

So far I’m leaning towards OS & Spain due to cultural background but South Africa seems to have good success rates? And a fairly detailed information on the donor.
But I’m struggling to find an affinity with that background.

    So much to think about.

    Help**
    x

    Hey RubyT78, welcome.

I think that you get the most info on donors in SA. Don't know how wide a pool of ethnicities/looks they have, the ladies the will be able to tell you their experiences.

In Spain I only looked at IVI, others here will be able to help They sound pretty excellent (very good guarantee and success rates), and have a strong international reputation. They're pricey though, and costing isn't straightforward.

Greece and SA are most popular on this forum, but the Czech Republic is also very popular with Europeans/Americans travelling for DE. I was finally successful at a Czech clinic (first go) after three failed attempts in Greece. Can't speak highly enough of the experience, their doctors and embryologists are pioneers in the field.

Feel free to jump into the threads!

    Hi Ruby

I’ve heard good things about Spain! I’m going to South Africa and just wanted to say they do have a range of donor looks. My donor has dark brown hair and eyes and is naturally quite tanned for example. You can just register for a free online account with a few agencies and do a search to see if any you do feel an affinity with - so you don’t need to sign up to any costs, clinic etc to have a look. You can filter by hair/eyes etc and there’s childhood pics.

    Some agencies are:
    Nurture
    Baby2mom
    AbabySA
    Egg Donor South Africa

Spain has a great reputation too though. It dies cost more and you won’t get to choose your donor and won’t get much info on them.

Greece might also have suitable donors.

Best of luck with this transfer!

    R

How do you go back to #1? Just keep going back in time to find the first thread or is there a quicker way? Lol

Umm im sure there us an easy way but the way i do it is to go to google search and type in the name if the thread and "#1" it usually takes me fairly close to the beginning. Yeah the scrolling back takes ages!

I just tried "egg donation greece bubhub #1" into google and the first page of the thread was a few entries down on the search results page on google.
