From there, hitting the Tanami Track across to the Kimberley. Checking out Derby and Broome before going back to Halls Creek and going down the Canning Stock Route. Later this year, probably going up to Cape York for 3 weeks.
I'd love to do something like this!!

Honestly, I'd love to see all of Australia. I have minimal desire to see the rest of the world, although I'd love to see Canada and Scotland, Ireland and denmark/ Holland type area.

I'm toying with the idea of a road trip around tassie, or around the Victorian coast, (ive lived at the end of the great ocean rd all my life and have never driven it....) then up nsw coast. Lots of family up there and the last time I was there, I was 4.

You have the same taste as me. I’ve always wanted to go to Iceland or Norway to see the northern lights. Cuba is also high on my list.

The best holiday I’ve had was in Australia. DH and I hired a yacht and sailed around the Whitsundays. Just the two of us. It was awesome.

we’ve visited cuba twice. once in 2012 and then again in 2014. the changes that had happened between those 2 years were astounding. it’s probably barely recognizable now. definitely worth a look. just walking around with a camera is all you need to do.

the whitsundays sail sounds idyllic. for an aussie holiday i would love to see more of queensland, go back to tassie and see more and visit alice springs.

Loving reading this thread! We sailed past Cuba on the cruise we just did - really want to go there but unfortunately it wasn't one of the stops. We did get to go to Grand Cayman @turquoisecoast and it was one of the best days of the whole holiday. We went to the Cayman Turtle Centre and had a fab time swimming with the turtles in their lagoon.

Would love to go to Norway too - my parents live in northern england so it's no so far from there as a 'side-trip' next time we are back. One of my best friends from school married a Norwegian and ran some holiday homes on their property, but sadly she passed away five years ago and I can't yet bring myself to go there. She used to post photos on FB of the Northern Lights from her kitchen window!

There are so many places I want to go. I have the travel bug, big time. We are always saving for a holiday. Our next one is this year, to Malaysia and Cambodia. We love adventure and taking our kids to places where they learn about other cultures and how privileged their life is here.

I think my favourite place so far is Vietnam. Amazing culture, people, food, sights, the lot. Borneo was also wonderful for the same reasons.

Places I want to visit in my lifetime are

Much of Europe (DH and I went to Spain, France, Italy and Switzerland a million years ago)

    Scotland

    Canada

    Parts of South America

China (have been to Shanghai and Nanjing but there’s much more to see)

    Japan

    Taiwan

    Sri Lanka

Every bit of Australia I haven’t seen

    And more!!

I like the idea of Fiji for a family holiday - anybody got any favourite resorts there?
Vomo is heaven on earth for young families, personal butler for the adults, kids butler included in room rare.

We are off to Six Senses Fiji soon and I think it will be amazing as well.

By no means cheap but so so relaxing.

I would love to see the Northern Lights and they can be seen from Scotland so Orkney and Shetland are on my list.

We are going to go to Fiji for our 10th anniversary (we got married there). We’d also love to take our kids to South Africa, NZ and Japan!
