    Default Sneakers

This morning I took kiddo to Sporties to get fitted with a new set of sneakers only to come away with nothing.
None of the shoes they had fitted him, the problem being width, the only shoes he wasn't complaining about were way too long for him, the other problems seems to be the height of his arch.
They had a 'wide' Asics and New balance but neither fit him.

    >95% of the time he wears Sandals but they aren't always appropriate at kindy.

I'd like to avoid a podiatrist if I can cos I don't have the $$ for it but if there's no other option I'll take him to one.

But surely he can't be the only kid with the problem.. Does anyone else here?

Personally I wear Asics size 8 4E wide they work awesome for me.

Sorry no help but sympathy! My second daughter has this problem. It started around when she was about 4. It’s been a massive struggle ever since to find any shoes that fit her. She’s 12 now. Even women’s shoes rarely fit.
She is like your son with the wide feet and high arches.
Try another store? There must be something out there.
Last winter we ended up finding boots at target that fit her. Sometimes you just have to try every store!
    Good luck.

My ds has wide & tall feet. We've had luck at Target and Kmart. It really depends on the style of the shoe. Runners with a wide opening at the top (e.g. fastened with velcro) usually fit ok. Sometimes I've had to get the larger size so a bit longer than needed to get the width. It also means ds fits 3 different shoe sizes depending on style.

We went to Foot locker this afternoon, they had some Nike's that were better but still not there, they suggested trying Athlete's foot because they have some special sizing tool and can special order more if they need to..
So we will go there tomorrow.
