Default TTC - Dealing with the 2WW

    Hi Ladies,
Hoping to get some advice here. I'm in my 2nd cycle of TTC baby no. 2.
Took a pregnancy test as i think i'm 10DPO, not entirely sure. Was a BFN. AF is due in 3 days. Feeling a lil dejected now, think i may have missed this month...
Wanted to know what's the soonest you've taken a test and gotten a BFP.

Don’t feel disheartened! When TTC baby no. 1 it took me 3 cycles and I got a BFN at 10dpo but my BFP at 12dpo.

Currently TTCing no.2 as well but things aren’t going so well. Trying to remain optimistic. It will happen, just a couple of hormonal issues I need to resolve first. Seeing an endocrinologist that specialises in fertility in February.

    Good luck

    It’s different for everyone.
Some people get positives 10 DPO and some two weeks after their period was due!
My obs/gyn has told me not to test until I’m five days late! It could still be your month!!!

My earliest was this pregnancy at 5dp5dt, which is the IVF equivalent of 10dpo. I only tested then because I knew exactly when a fertilised embryo was in my uterus, and even still that's quite early for IVF.

If I was trying naturally I wouldn't even bother testing until a couple of days before my period was due at most, that's if I couldn't wait until I was a day or two late!

I was quite surprised doing monitored cycles with blood tests to detect ovulation that my average O day is cd18. If you don't have a blood monitored cycle then it's hard to know exactly when you enter the TWW, even with less intrusive methods of cycle tracking, so you could have O'ed later than you thought.
