    Default Pregnancy pillow

Hi, I know there are a number of old threads on this topic, but I was hoping for some more recent recommendations.

I'm a back sleeper, and already at only 17 weeks I'm struggling to get comfy at night on my side. I've been sleeping terribly because of hip pain too. So I wonder if it might be worth looking into a pregnancy pillow of some sort. I'm not sure if some of them are supposed to make you feel like you are sort of leaning back like when you are back sleeping, even though you are propped up on your side?

Anyway, I'd love some ideas on what has worked for you. I don't want to spend a fortune either.

    Thanks so much!

I am a tummy sleeper and bought a BellyBean. It helped heaps and was even handy for travel/nights away. I’ve since packed it away for hopefully pregnancy #2 🤞

I've slept with a 'u' pillow between my legs since 15 weeks because of hip aches.
Last pg I had a body pillow (long pillow) but find the u pillow 100x better. One end between my legs and the other supports my belly now I'm getting bigger.
Cheap too, $10 from kmart if it falls apart in 6 months it's done it's job!

Thanks for your reply. Do you mean one of those smallish ones that are almost L-shaped, rather than the full body U pillow? Thanks!

Yep, sure do. I find the larger ones a little awkward. Also u pillows are great breastfeeding pillows as well

I also liked the Belly Bean, was really comfy, kept me on my side, took the pressure off my hips so I was comfortable all night and didn’t take il much space in the bed. Also put a regular pillow between my knees.

+1 for Belly Bean! Been using it since week 12, in week 23 now. I use mine to support my back and tummy & use another regular smaller pillow in between my knees. Good luck
