Default Paid Parental Leave eligibility when working for family business

Just wondering if anyone else has had experience applying for the government PPL when working for a family business unpaid. I can see on the website that this is considered eligible for the work test, but I wonder what evidence Centrelink require. Grateful for any insight. Thanks.

I’d do it soon as you can only claim until they are one and the claim doesn’t start until you lodge the application. So you won’t be able to claim the full 18 weeks.

It would be helpful for you to have a log of hours you work in the business (you can create your own spreadsheet), the business will need to be registered with an ABN and some kind of proof it exists, and a signed letter detailing your role in the business.
