Cool Anyone else december First cycle? surgery tomorrow

So this is my first cycle. The process hasnt been as daunting as a i thought.
i am 32. Blocked fallopian tubes. we started the journey in september and held off the first cycle for a couple of months due to my wedding early next year.
Started 1st dec. Nearly didnt start due to elevated estrogen levels. But a retest showed improved numbers. go figure.
I havent had too many injections. They did however make me cry alot in the first week- even over a cucumber. just had my trigger yesterday. planned surgery monday morn.
Im worried about not being able to transfer this cycle if im over stimulated. I feel im likely in the at risk group for it. The sonographer made a comment at my last ultrasound that I had “alot” of eggs for a first cycle.
But i understand its not always quantity. So excited for tomorrow but equally nervous about a needle going up the personal parts.
Oh well- it is what it is.

    Anyone else at this stage?
If all goes well my next period would be due xmas day- would be a nice pregnancy test to have- xmas suprise!

That’s great u got one. Hope it goes well.
Was the procedure painful? Did u have to take time off work to recover?

definatly take the day off! (obviously). I would seriously consider the day after too! its not painful. i stopped the pain meds on day 2. its the bloating that got me. soooooo unconfortable. and all your “bits” are tender too.
taansfer was fine. in and out in 15 mins- much like a pap smear

So they actually give you pain meds? It seems there is a lot more to the getting the eggs than I had thought! I’m not looking forward to this at all. Just checking, you were fully asleep for the procedure to get them?

yes faye. its like surgery. you go under sedation. and they give you medications theoughout and after your procedure.
they then gave me a script for the week after.
to be honest i stopped taking pain meds after 1.5 days. felt no worse than a mild period cramp. the bloating was my biggest disconfort. and only fluids and laying down helped resolve that!

Hi there! I'm not on this stage. actually on another side of treatments. So just dropping in to wish you all the best of luck ahead. You're absolutely right, quality means much more. i'm hoping you'll produce some best ones As for the needles little fear - it'll go away after a couple of days. You're a bravie, remember, you'll do it!!

Hey! I'm on my first cycle too, had EPU on Mon 10th also, blood test this fri.
I had been doing Clomid for 5 months, skipped a cycle, then started FSH for 2 timed cycles, then FSH for IUI, all cycles with ovidrel trigger.
For IVF I have had 3 different injections and now I'm on Progesterone twice daily. Had a reaction to the gel that caused heaps of swelling so had to start pessaries which are causing really bad bloating and now I can't fit in my clothes lol

I am so scared of needles so this has been so hard to get through, especially EPU!
I'm 22 with Endometroisis and have just found out I have an abnormal shaped uterus.
I had 10 eggs, 7 fertilised and 1 really good quality blasty on day 5 and 2 a little bit behind frozen on day 5 and 6.

Hope everything is going well for you and you get a BFP!!
