Default Was dying from ruptured ectopic, help please :(

Hi everyone, i'm new here.. from the gold coast..
Last week i was rushed to hospital suffering from a ruptured ectopic.
I barely got there in time, on arrival i had already lost 1 litre of blood internally and was falling in and out of consciousness, it took the doctors in emergency over an hour to find out what was wrong with me, i was resuscitated due to my blood pressure falling so low and went into surgery as soon as an ultrasound was done..

I didnt know i was pregnant because all of my blood and urine tests were negative even at 10 weeks.. so i continued life thinking i was definitely not pregnant, i was feeling really healthy until that morning when i woke up with excruciating pain that left me practically paralysed..

My surgery took 4 hours and i lost 3 litres of blood and needed a blood transfusion, my left fallopian tube was removed. Im lucky to even be alive. The whole experience was so traumatic, im suffering from PTSD, Panic attacks, insomnia and the rest.. I cant get the faces of all the surgeons in ER out of my head , they were panicking and afraid that i wouldn't make it.. i felt myself dying and it was the worst thing ive ever felt..

Its been 7 days now and im only just able to walk properly, i have a great appetite but eating anything makes me so bloated that it hurts and feels very strange.

I dont have anyone to talk to who has experienced this before, would love to know how long it will take me to heal physically. Any little twitch or pain freaks me out and causes instant anxiety

    I feel so depressed.

    x

I'm so sorry this has happened to you

I haven't had an ectopic myself, but I certainly understand the PTSD and anxiety since my daughter passed away at birth last year. I was under general anaesthesic when she died and it took a long time before I could stop replaying the moments before we went into theatre and when I woke up to be told she was gone.

When I got to a stage where I was becoming reluctant to leave the house I decided to seek the help of a psychologist. I was warned by my specialist that I was at very high risk of mental health issues so I knew what I was feeling wasn't "normal".

It's no surprise that you're having all these feelings after your ordeal, but please don't think you need to deal with them on your own x

I am so incredibly sorry to hear what happened to you. I’m not surprised you’re suffering from PTSD it must’ve been very traumatic. I’d really recommend going to ur gp to get in contact with a psychologist x
