Oh yes I know of that one. Thanks, might have to check out their range. So hard to find good unisex fabric!

Naww lol yep that’s huge. Went to the dizzy daisy website and they’re closed while they move. Bugger! I’ll see if their Facebook page has anything to look at.

I need opinions I want to make some pucker shorts (like these mermaid ones I made a couple of years ago) for my girls but DD2 in particular hates the elastic around her legs.
Do you think they would look weird if I didn’t put elastic in the legs?

What about a cuff instead of elastic? Still do a sort of bubble leg but make a cuff for the bottom...?

I’m just wondering how everyone stores their sewing gear? I finally have space to put everything, now just need to find the most appropriate storage method! This is where everything needs to fit..

DD has kindly left her pull out couch in there for size reference

I will continue to sew at the kitchen table, this is more for fabric, bits and pieces, sewing machine etc. Probably something with doors and/or drawers plus an open storage spot for the sewing basket I bought.

I use a horn cabinet with material in cardboard archive boxes. I also have a sewing machine trolley from spotlight so maybe check that out for your machine if you need something to pack it into. How much material do you need to store? My boxes alone probably take up this much space.

I don’t have a lot of fabric. I’ve been very restrained knowing I don’t really have anywhere to put it it probably fills up the equivalent of 1.5 of those green canvas Coles shopping bags. I’m also mindful that if it’s obvious to DD that it’s there, she’ll want to explore and pull fabric etc out all the time.
