Mine were basically just huge drawstring bags. I made the outer with one fabric (sewed/overlocked bottom and two sides) and then a lining with a different one (two sides and bottom with a large gap to turn out) and then I used a fluffy material to make the drawstring part so folded in half and turned in the end then sandwiched between the outer and lining(right sides facing each other) and sewed all the way around then turned through the hole in the lining and then sewed that up (it’s hidden so I lazily did this with machine).

If you aren’t using a different material for the drawstring to go through you can turn down the top and have a button hole on the outside.

Or do you want something more stocking shaped with a hook at the top? Cute material.

I made Santa sacks last week for the kids, they chose the fabrics .I'm having problems uploading photos lately, but will try later tonight. I grabbed the instructions at Spotlight- worst.instructions.ever! I've been sewing since I was 5, using commercial patterns since I was 8, quilting patterns for 15+ years and more recently downloaded patterns. Yet I could not make sense of their instructions. I felt sorry for any novice who had grabbed the leaflet thinking it would be an easy job (it was, when I just followed followed my gut) and probably decided to never try sewing again!

I can’t find a photo on my phone and they are packed away in the back of the cupboard. I also appliquéd the kids names on them. They’re about pillowcase sized, we use them for Santa presents so I wanted them a reasonable size (presents from us go under the tree and we hand them out).
