I know it is easier said than done, but I would suggest not googling until you get the test results back and know exactly what you are dealing with.

    I hope everything is okay.

I don't have experience with muscular dystrophy but I hope you get some answers quickly. I imagine that was a scary appointment

LCCH will take amazing care of your son. They are brilliant with my daughter who has a genetic condition. Best of luck.

Don't Doctor Google, I know the temptation would be there, but you're going to find a minefield of info that might not necessarily be accurate.

Thinking of you, and I hope the time goes fast till your appointment.
    Best of luck.

I hope you do get a good and clear result from the tests, and I hope everything is not so serious and scary. I think you might be causing yourself more upset if you continue to google info. I will pray for the best outcome. marie.

I guess the Paed is talking about Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy? That's the main one and only affects boys and I believe can appear from any age, not just birth. My sister had recessive congenital muscular dystrophy and my best friend had spinal muscular atrophy, she also had a number of her cousins have duchennes. One you have a definitive answer the Muscular Dystrophy Association would be a great place to turn to. Good luck, I hope you get good test results.
