Atm my kids are into watching all the Avengers movies. My daughter is 11, son 6.
My son was desperate to see Infinity War at the cinema but it was so loud and full of action he cried in a lot of scenes!
He watches it now at home ok.

They enjoyed watching the latest Jumanji (I liked it too) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

We let my son watch Jurassic World and he was fine until some random lady was eaten and he cried!

I love Star Wars and while they watched The Force Awakens they are refusing to watch any more of it with me.

Any old school movies I’ve tried with them have been boring. My son didn’t even crack a smile at Home Alone!!

G-Force - is that the cartoon? I used to love that as a kid.

Thanks for all the suggestions! DH and I were talking last night and didn't even think about some of these . Now people have said them, they seem so obvious!!!

What about Dirty Dancing? I had thought about those and Grease, but thought some of the themes - the se.x and a.bortions in both, might be too adult. DH says I'm over thinking it and I was about DD's age when I first watched Grease and most of it went completely over my head. I just loved the music. I was older when Dirty Dancing came out, think I was 12-13 so I did understand most of that.

After they dissed ET and Indiana Jones, I'm a bit scared of introducing them to my favs incase they hate them and I have to disown or adopt them out . They thought The Wombles was lame a few years ago

Honestly the adult stuff in Grease goes straight over their heads!
DS and I watched Rocky Horror last night! I actually fast forwarded sweet transvestite and touch me songs (more so he wouldn’t turn up at school singing I’m a sweet transvestite as that song is very catchy!) , so he just thought it was a funny alien movie with cool dancing 🤣

Ummm it's an "animated" movie, semi recent (last 10ish yrs?)... its not cartoon as such.
It's the one with the hamsters who are spys/agents, they're trained by a human who works for the FBI or something..... they get put in a pet store and have to escape.... It's been as while now since ive seen it....so my explanations probably sketchy.
