We have used a hire service when travelling & it was great for that - car seats, cot, high chair.

I do remember news reports that an owner of one of the Perth stores set fire to his Hire for Baby franchise a few years ago. I’m not sure quite what the circumstances were, but obviously you would need confidence in the books that it’s a profitable business.

I’m not sure what area you’re in but there are a couple of own-equipment hire sites around- treehutvillage and kindershare. Maybe start off renting out a few items on there and see what the demand is like before committing to buying a franchise?

Don't under estimate this business, they have been trading for 30 years
the business evolves with customer needs
the demand for services is constant
With the right owners and attitude is this a real opportunity if you are happy to work hard
I know someone that runs a branch and they are doing extremely well and balance family and kids

treevillage and kindershare are good for those not willing to invest in stock and you have no guaranteed of area
If you are serious about a hire business then go with a brand that is established - their marketing reach and customer loyalty is ongoing
    These guys work with corporates
sure you can start your own but with a group brand is get traction
