This thread seems to have gone really quiet... 😞 Hopefully it’s because everyone is off looking after their bubs 🥰
If anyone has any stories of when ivig has finally gotten them over the line, please share... I’m booked in for ivig on 5th June for our 7th (never thought I’d be saying that 😫) frozen embryo transfer and I’m just trying to hold onto a slither of hope that this might work 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hey Goodvibes82, sorry I’ve never done ivig but just wanted to let you know that Dr M is a miracle worker. I hardly get any eggs for my age (30 yo and 4 eggs every cycle) but I do get preg every time but seem to lose the baby. With dr M s protocol, I’m now 26 weeks preg. I’ve never had late term losses so I hope I actually do get to meet this babe earth side but just wanted to say you’re in good hands and soo many good wishes to you!

Hey Pursuit, thanks so much for taking the time to reply It’s crazy how we all have such different fertility issues… I get SO many eggs but can never get anything to implant 😕 Congrats to you and I bet you can’t wait to meet your little miracle! I have another embryo transfer tomorrow so who knows if lucky number 7 will be the one? Because of lockdown, I was unable to get to Sydney for IVIG but I’m still taking all the medications Dr M has prescribed me so we’ll see? Can I ask what your successful protocol was Pursuit? I do have faith in Dr M as sooo many girls on here have had success with him… the only thing I find a bit concerning is every time I speak to him he asks me similar questions (ones I’ve already answered) and I just thought he should have a file in front of him right? Anyway I’m not getting too focused on that… just trying to stay positive. 🤞🏼

Hi I don't have quite the experience you're looking for, but wanted to give you some hope if I could - I'm almost 26 weeks pregnant with the 13th embryo we transferred From the previous 12 transfers, I only had one BFP (#5), which resulted in a MMC at 7 weeks.

This successful transfer was my 3rd on prednisone and clexane, and my 2nd using intralipids. I wasn't under the care of an immunologist, but my FS was comfortable putting me on pred and clex given everything else we'd tried, and didn't mind when I asked for intralipids.

Who knows what actually worked (my lining was always thinner than textbook - this baby implanted on a 6.5mm lining).

Just wanted to give you hope to keep going - even after countless transfers, miracles happen

Thanks so much a million dreams 🧡
Sometimes I think I can’t keep going and sometimes I think I can’t give up… it’s so hard. But that is wonderful news that you got there in the end. 😊
My FET is today so here’s hoping 🤞🏼

    You’re welcome!

Yeah if you’ve never seen Dr M in person, he’s very old school with no computer in front of him or anything. I’ve been seeing him my whole pregnancy and before and he’ll still ask me what my protocol is, how many weeks I am etc etc. I think other drs have all this info stored in a computer ready to access but it might just easier for him to ask you questions instead of reading though his file of hand written notes. I still find I’m able to trust his medical guidance. I know it’s easy for me to say since I’m now almost 7 months preg but I’d say keep listening to him, he’s got a wealth of experience 😊

I honestly can’t properly remember my protocol Before I got preg but I’m currently doing the following:
Prednisone x 1 tablet (gradually stepped down from 4)
Intralipids x 4 weeks (used to be 3)
    Utrogestan pessaries x 4 daily
    Clexane x 1 daily

I hope the transfer went smoothly! Wishing you so much luck x

Thanks Pursuit… unfortunately I found out today that transfer number 7 also failed. Not a good day for me. I still have three embryos left but my fertility Doctor is insisting on a laparoscopy before anymore transfers… which makes sense, since obviously it’s not normal to have 0 out of 7 embryos implant. Feeling very disheartened and alone.
I have a phone appointment with Dr M next week so I’ll ask him what he thinks about getting a lap.
Does anyone know if you get any money back from Medicare for a lap? I don’t have private health…

I’m so sorry! Have you had a lap before? Yes I think you’ll get a bit off Medicare. Can I ask what protocol Dr M has you on?

Hi Phia, I’ve since spoken with Dr M and he thinks a lap is totally unnecessary due to the fact that I have zero symptoms of endo and have had a deep infiltration scan that showed no signs of even silent endo. He said he could do a hysteroscopy and an endometrial scratch and that might help with implantation. I’m trusting his advice because he seems to understand my situation better than any other specialists have thus far. He also recommended I do an entirely new egg collection with a different clinic to get a different perspective, so that’s what I’ve done. (Even though I still have 3 frozen blastocysts in storage with my old clinic)
    Had an EPU on Friday…
I’ve only managed to do one full immune protocol with DR M, after that the borders shut and I haven’t been able to get back down to Sydney. My protocol is plaquinol, clexane, metformin, dexamethasone and IVIG or intrallipids. Since I can’t get to sydney anyway I may as well collect as many embies as I can before I get any older. Are you currently under Dr M Phia, what’s your situation?
