Thanks for all the info in this thread.
Ive had 2 phone consults w Dr M, who has recommended intralipids (amongst other things). I'm based in Melbourne and looking for where I can get the infusion.
I'm with City Fertility and don't want to change clinics (Our donor is at CF). Has anyone had intralipids through CF, or somewhere else in Melbourne who aren't going to want me to do IVF w them?
I'm otherwise looking at having to fly to Sydney which I'd prefer to avoid

    Hi everyone,

Can anybody tell me how much does the randwick infusion clinic charge in total (intralipid+adm+..) if i get a scrip from Dr. Matthias and go to randwick infusion clinic?
Are they doing the same method with the same product in same dosage and stuff as dr. Matthias does in hurstville private?

    Thank you all

@Baby9q I called them about 12 months ago and they quoted me around $400. I ended up doing it at Hurstville Private with Dr M as it was closer and easier for us

@Baby4BB Does Dr M do some test first before he recommends the intralipids? Do you do that in conjunction with your FS, how does it work?

My FS suggested intralipids on my next transfer so I'm not sure how that works.? Thanks

@Babyblues99 Dr M does blood tests and I also had a uterine biopsy. To be honest I do think he uses the same treatment for all his patients with some minor changes (doses etc). I personally feel that Intralipids did nothing for me. I've had 1 cycle following Dr M protocol and m/c at 6ish weeks. Next transfer I just followed FS protocol with the addition of PIO at 5 weeks and still m/c at 6ish weeks.

    Good luck for your cycle/transfer

The infusion clinic at Randwick will do the dose specified by your specialist. Dr M does 500ml.

The difference is the infusion rate and the way they do the saline flush. My understanding is Dr M does a saline flush, then intralipds very slowly, then another saline flush. It takes a long time eg 8-9 hours.

A lot of other places do the same dose but much more quickly and run the saline concurrently. I’ve had 500ml done over 3-4 hours.

Dr M believes the slow infusion and saline is important. No idea if it makes a difference or not!

Just want to add that the doctors that pioneered this field of medicine do not use intralipids. The reason why is because it doesn’t work properly for everyone while IVIg does. I took intralipids for almost a year and never got pregnant trying naturally or IVF. The doctors tested my NK cells after every intralips infusion and they did work. For awhile. Then one day they didn’t. The first time I used IVIg it worked. Intralipids do work for some. I personally know two girls that used them successfully and have heard many success stories. They just don’t for everyone which is why the original reproductive immunologists will not use them.
