I would like to share my story with Dr Kanakas and Embryoland. I’m 42 and 13 weeks pregnant. Like many other women after many tries here in Australia with my own eggs and having no success I heard about embryo donation in Greece from a work friend. Deciding which clinic to go to is a huge decision and I was scared to firstly travel overseas and secondly that it would be a hard process. I am happy to say that I am very wrong and while I had set backs, I am grateful for Dr Kanakas and his staff. Dr Kanakas is always, always available and answers his phone any day of the week which is amazing. My first two visits to Greece were unfortunately unsuccessful, but after each attempt Dr Kanakas was there being helpful and saying ‘we are here for you’. My unsuccessful attempts I found out were because I have high NKC and MTHFR gene. After I fixed this, my third attempt to Greece was successful and I am now 13 weeks pregnant. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without Dr Kanakas and his clinic and for him always being there being willing to help me.Im forever grateful for him.

@Curtis18 im 10 weeks with twins and had spotting for 2 weeks straight between weeks 7 to 9. So scary but scan today was great and both heartbeats and sizes are great. Def go get yourself scanned as often as u feel u need it. Its been such a hard process for us all if thats what you need for peace of mind then do it. Xxx

    Hey girls,

I haven’t been very active on this page at all. Trying to keep from reading too much and worrying myself. What will be for us, will be. I decided to go with Genesis, mainly because my husband after 7 years of being Dr L’s patient didn’t want to change doctors.
We head to Athens on Saturday and just wondering as I do recall seeing a post about pre and post acupuncture being done at the clinic if anyone has the details of this business as I really want to book that in when we have transfer.
Also just wondering if there is anyone that has done a donor egg cycle for their second child?

    Thanks ladies x

Hi @Dollyrm I hope all goes well with genesis.
I just want to give you a big heads up that i have
been down that path and felt the same(loyalty to dr).
unfortanely I learnt the hard way and was cheated
by doctor Ls and his good friend at genesis. They told
me everything I wanted to hear before I got there and when I
arrived at genesis they didn’t even know who I was.
Good luck and I hope you don’t experience what I did.

Well ladies, DH is booked and traveling to Athens in June to do his bit, lol. While he is there he is also going to meet with an adoption lawyer, to keep our options open and if it’s possible for us to adopt to get the ball rolling.
Finger crossed for some amazing embies. If all goes well, I will go to Athens in September for transfer.
