I make a smoothie every morning and skull it so even if i dont eat much else or eat crap for the rest of the day, at least ive got a little bit of all the good stuff regularly.
    My smoothie has...
1/4 cup of oats (NOT quick oats, fills you up, good carbs)
    1 tablespoon peppita seeds (iron)
1/2 banana (sweetener and makes it thick and creamy)
1/4 cup of blueberries and raspberries (antioxidants and vitamins, non sugary fruit)
1/2 cup kale or spinach leaves (iron and folate)
2-3 chunks of pineapple (vitamin c and sweetener)
1/3 of a cucumber(makes it fresh and its a veggie, lol not sure of what vitamins it has but its gotta have some)
500ml water (always forget to drink throughout the rest of the day!)

It actually tastes really nice, sweet but not too much sugar and i meal prep all the ingredients into 7 separate bags at the beginning of the week and freeze them. That way the fruit and veges dont go bad and all i have to do is empty the bag into the smoothie cup, add water and blend. I buy precut frozen cheap bags of berries & pineapple from coles.
Takes about 2 mins to make and drink.

I have same thing, so i started adding cucumber and kale to my fruity smoothies. As long as you dont go overboard and add too much, i can hardly taste the difference :-) Cucumber adds a really fresh tastes to fruit too, i reckon. And i reckon a little bit everyday is better than nothing and way easier than forcing myself to binge on veggies once a week when i realise i havent bloody had any veggies for ages :-)

Looked at it wanted to make the 5 ..so put 1x Sweet Potato in oven ..cut into chips ....just added salt and pepper.

Only problem here is olives to me are a vegetable but if you google it it says its a fruit...so to is tomato and cucumber ....i feel like my intent is good so should be good enough.

Or does it have to be the carrot broccoli cauliflower kind of vegetable?
Im no nutritionist but i think in general you're supposed to have some reddish veggies and some greenish leafy veggies each day or at least a mix of the 2 colours in general..i find it easier to think in colours for the veggie varieties if that makes sense?
So red would be tomatoes, sweet potato, red capsicum, pumpkin, red cabbage etc
Green would be spinach, broccoli, zucchini, green capsicum , peas, etc...
Dunno about white veggies potatoes and cauliflower???

thanks for bumping this - though just before christmas probably isnt the best time to start this again still - its not a diet so it will work out.

I did have a smoothie today - but I still struggle with vegies at times.

At least one meal of the day is salad; my favourite is with spinach tuna fish and sweet corn. I try to have 2-3 seasonal fruits per day, so do my children!

Not sure if I’ll get it today, but on work days I do. Yesterday was:

Breakfast: Banana, blueberry and spinach smoothie (1.5 fruit, 1.5 veg)

Lunch: bolognaise sauce on top of sautéed carrot, zucchini and cabbage (at least 3 servings veg) and 1/2 banana (0.5 fruit)

Dinner: chili con carne (with tomato and kidney beans) on top of baked sweet potato disks (2 serves veg)

Total of 6.5 veg and 2 fruit.

Today it’s almost 12 and I haven’t had any fruit or veg at all
