I'll join. Probably won't get a chance to donate until the weekend though.

Yes! Donating is great, not just to declutter and get rid of things that you have no room or need for, but definitely for the people it goes to as well! I usually advertise on my local swap and sell site first, just to see if anyone needs any of it before I take it to Vinnies. A lot of people in need don’t like going to charity shops so it helps if they are available privately to pick up/drop off as well.

I have been decluttering recently, so far I have done:
    My clothes (into charity bin)
Toys (packed up, need to take into StKilda Mums drop off spot at some stage)
Baby linen (sleeping bags to friend who has just been approved as foster carer, bibs and sheets to extended family)

    Still need to:
Go through kids clothes and cull, waiting for the cooler weather to kick in though so can get rid of majority of summer clothes.
Do a ring around and see if any charities want a couple of recliners.

I need to sort through what fits and no longer fits of the kids clothes and do a donation. This thread's inspired me to stop procrastinating and get to it!

In the interval between moving out of our house and into our duplex, we will be living with my daughter and son inlaw, That will be a perfect time for helping my daughter sort out her girls wardrobes. The girls seem to end up with so many clothes it is a mammoth job to get rid of what no longer fits. marie.

I'm not going very well with motivation on anything at the moment. However I did donate some of my old school magazines and my school blazer to my old school. The school is 100 next year and the archives department is looking for 'history'. I'm not thrilled about being part of history, but at least the items might be of more use to them then filling up my cupboards.
