For the ladies that took 18 estrogen progynova before transfer to get the lining thicker, once you got a BFP what did you drop the Estrogen pills to.
I’m to scared to take less than the 18 I’m taking.
My CFC Dr has suggested l only take 3 per day. He obviously thinks I’ve been taking 6 per day.
After my second BFN, then seeing Dr M, he said l shouldn’t of decreased the progynova after transfer.
I’m seeing my GP who has been doing my scripts from CFC.
I’m not sure wether to continue with the same amount until 10weeks.
Dr P says that’s when l should stop the progynova & progesterone.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

@littleone11, so what you’re saying is you didn’t decrease the amount you’d been taking before transfer? You just stopped at 10 weeks?
All is well my 3rd HCG was 12904 on 15 Jan, l’m have a scan booked for 25Jan, can’t wait.

Hi @Bizmak that's a great number - it sounds like you've got a lovely little sticky bean in your belly. Can't wait to hear about your scan results next week. It is such an exciting but nerve wracking time . Sorry I can't help with your progynova questions as I can't recall. But I do remember emailing Dr Mathias offices a few times regarding my progesterone dosage and his assistant did get back to me with a reply. Warmest wishes, FF

Default Egg Donation in South Africa #16

@felicityFox Dr M told me today to start dex 2.5 weeks before transfer.

I have a question for anyone regarding timing of transfer for a donor FET. If your lining check is all good how many days until transfer?

Hi i think from memory with my dr in greece, the progynova will sustain your lining indefinitely (lol not as in forever- but the progynova gives you scope/bit of leeway to have some time to wait for your donor to be definitely ready for egg retrieval or if you need to adjust dates/flights)

So i think the progynova is not as important as starting progesterone. I know once you start progesterone there is a limited time/optimal time that you should be on it before transfer, maybe around 3 days. Hope someone else can confirm or give more specific info. :-)

Seeing that it’s frozen transfer you can choose when you want it once you’re lining is good . I basically work around travel dates and give myself extra time on progynova before I start progesterone. Even though my lining has always been good around day 12/13 I’ve only had transfers on day 22/23 which gives you another 5 days extra if you’re lining isn’t thick enough ( taking into account you have 5 days progesterone support before transfer). Hope that makes sense

@Bizmak great to see your numbers climbing nicely. Sorry can’t help with the progynova as I’ve always gotten BFN’s so not sure about dosage as your pregnancy progresses
