Good luck and heaps of good sticky baby wishes for you @Shelter75. I know it's near impossible but try to relax and send yourself good baby vibes.
Once I convinced my head that regardless of how much I wanted a baby and did everything in MY power to have one, everything to do with the egg donation process is TOTALLY OUT OF MY CONTROL and what will be will be, I found I was able to just relax a bit more than stressing. I don't know about scientifically proven, but I am sure stress isn't a help in any of the process. I did a hell of a lot of praying to god and my deceased relatives to get god to send me a baby too... and I am not a religious person at all!! Good luck!!!!! And hope you have lots of good quality embryos when you arrive in Cape Town!! xxx🙏🤞🤞🤞

Sorry @Shelter75. I can only say stay clear of a little Asian place in Century City shopping mall. They were terrible. My arms and hands were killing me and asked for funny enough a hand and arm massage which was listed on their menu, I ended up with a back and neck massage after many many many times saying, no, my arms, my hands... here... pointing out those parts of my body. They just did what they wanted to do.

If you want to kill some time though, Century City has a pretty nice shopping mall. About 20-25 minutes drive from the water front.

Good luck for the 6 growing embryos!!! Sorry it's not more from that stash, but cliche and not exactly what you want to hear right now, but it only takes one !!! Good luck. xx

The Watershed stalls have some great masseurs (and cheap too), both my husband and I went a number of times.

14 eggs is a good number. I got 7 eggs & only 3 embies which weren't that great. Fingers crossed for you

I had read such amazing things about CFC, but was really shocked & disappointed by Dr M's behaviour.
As much as I've done been doing IVF for 5 years in 2 different places in Australia, I've never experienced such bad behaviour from a Dr, who understands that we spend a lot of money doing these treatments. Maybe she was going through a difficult time at my transfer, BUT -something I haven't shared, on my transfer day she used a glove to check my lining vaginally, it was so thick when she put it in, it hurt like hell, the she still wouldn't wait for me to drink water so she could see my lining using the abdomen scan. I told her I was happy to wait or do the transfer at another time but NO.
I would like to change Dr's or Clinic.
Can any of you ladies recommend someone?
    I just had to vent
Hi @Bizmark, I’m a bit late in responding (I’m catching up on the posts now). I’m so sorry about your experience with your last cycle. I can highly recommend Dr Hulme at Aevitas in Cape Town. He’s a very gentile and kind man. We went with Aevitas as the egg donation agency that we are using (Global Egg Donors) don’t work with CFC.

We saw him for our cycle in February, which was not successful. We’re now planning our next cycle and confirming our new donor, and i will probably be heading back in June.

@Chmeille congratulations.. baby Josie is adorable.

    @Shelter75 Goodluck!

Hi everyone.. it’s been awhile so I had to back read.. I had just undergone hysteroscopy and thankfully all is good. I just need to confirm the donor.. my original donor was previously rejected by CFC as she hadn’t pass screening over a year ago but signed up with my agency who was unaware about it..luckily CFC informed my donor agency abt her..now im back again choosing a donor.

Another donor was recommended but my concern is she got green eyes.. DH and myself have brown eyes..
Did anyone encountered this or have to considered donor’s eye colour?

Thanks @Dana0108. Good luck in choosing a donor. As for the green eyes, my one thing I wasn’t negotiable on was donor had to have blue eyes. I guess it depends on how much eye colour means to you.
So I’m officially in tww as had my transfer yesterday with hatching blastocyst. And amazingly ended up 6 frozen embryos so deciding on doing another donor cycle was definitely worth it. Unlike last attempt when I had no back ups definitely feel the pressure’s off this time 😊

@Dana0108 just popping in here from the Czech board, regarding eye colour, if your using your dh’s sperm I wouldn’t worry too much about eye colour, from my limited understanding brown usually trumps over green and blue, so you would possibly have about a one in four-five chance of having a green eyed child if you both had a genetic baby together, your still more likely to have a brown eyed baby with this donor because of your dh’s brown eyes. We used double donor and had green and hazel eyes, we have two girls with brown eyes and one with amazing blues eyes so go figure with that one lol, the brown would have come out from the hazel, not sure where the blue has popped up from but two brown eyed people can make a blue eyed baby also.
