    This is a good idea.

    I got this food diary thing from Kmart for $3.

    I write whatever I eat no matter whether it is nutritionally wise or not so. I also write it before I have eat the food. This has helped a lot.

    During one subject at uni (behaviour therapy I think it was) research showed people who wrote down everything they eat ended up eating less over the week and lost the most amount of weight.

    You are right @CazHazKidz my list is really excuses. If I was motivated I would find a way around the things I have listed.

    I also used to be super fit ( cycle 300km a week and think nothing of a 100km ride on a Sunday morning).

    I just need to break my lack of motivation and find something I can do as a habit. Once it’s a habit it’s much easier to stick to.

    @cazHazKids I've decided I'm going to set minigoals for each week as the big picture is just too hard. I have to get my eating under control plus add in exercise. I'm tossing up between one walk this week and eating porridge for breakfast three days this week as my goal for the week.

    Would weekly minigoals help you to get your motivation back?

    I'll be following along. I was in such a good place last year, exercising regularly and eating well and then life got hectic and I just lost the motivation. I'll weigh myself tomorrow and it won't be pretty but hopefully this thread will keep me a bit more accountable.

    Default Weightloss/Fitness support thread

    Dipping my toes in here as I’ve gained 5 kg since starting back at work 18 months ago.... my goal is 100 box jumps a day for a month. I’m on day 3. And no snaking!!

    I'll join. I'm not looking to lose weight but I want to get fit. I used the dance before ds and I've pretty much lost all my fitness. I put on 6kg or so last year but not looking to lose it as I'm still a healthy weight. Though it would be nice to fit in my clothes again. 😂

    Cazhazkidz have you seen That Sugar Film? Dh and I saw it recently and it was a real eye opener for dh (who is addicted to soft drink). I've set myself a goal of 30 minutes of activity a day (can be incidental) and have an app on my phone that automatically reminds me and predicts when I'm going to fall short. It's helped with the motivation.

    Ooh can I join! I am a avid bootcamp attendee and feel crap without exercise but I am really losing my mojo lately so maybe seeing others achieve goals will kick start it back up again. DD and I have signed up for March Charge and have each pledged to run or swim 40kms for the month of March so I am hoping that helps me too!
