    Default Weightloss/Fitness support thread

    I joined a gym this week! So excited. It’s several years since I last had a gym membership! I’m focusing on weight lifting to build muscle, as I’ve found this to be the best way for me to keep in shape. Muscle burns calories just sitting there so if I lift a few days a week I should start to transform my figure.

    I’m currently a normal weight and most people look at me and can’t see any issue, but I used to be super fit and strong and I want to be like that again. I’m happiest when I’m toned and fit. Plus I’d like to get back to the pool to do laps occasionally and that requires a certain level of fitness (I generally swim over a kilometre of straight freestyle in one go).

    Anyway so today was my first workout. Felt so good to lift weights again. Once I feel like I’m a bit stronger and fitter I’ll think about doing one of the classes. I think I’d just about die if I tried them too soon, lol. Baby steps for now!
