    Default daycare WWYD

I’m interested to know how annoyed you would be with the following situation.

I just picked DD up from daycare, the communication book says DD had her 3 usual bottles at 9,12,3 and the educators also told me this. I’ve just unpacked her bag and there is indeed 3 dirty bottles but only 2 sections of formula have been used. So if she has indeed had 3 bottles what has she been given????

While she doesn’t have allergies she does use a easy to absorb higher calorie prescription formula.

I’ve called and her educators couldn’t explain it.

How annoyed/demanding should I be? I’m new to this daycare business so no idea what to do next?

I would definitely be having a conversation with the director, particularly if she's on prescription formula. My other concerns would be what type of formula did she actually have and was it handled hygienically?

I'd also discuss it with the director. I wouldn't be upset about it but there are too many "what ifs" here, what if it was given to a child with an allergy, etc. It needs to be brought to the directors attention so they can follow up and see if they need to increase training or review their procedure around making up bottles, passing on instructions etc

I second talking to the director. I wouldnt be impressed about the whole situation. What if what she was given makes her sick and not one person can explain to you what she was given.

I'd be asking the director to follow it up and find out who gave her each bottle so it can be explained.

I would definitely be speaking to the director - more from the point of checking policies and procedures. Although your DD doesn't have allergies, I shudder to think what would have happened if she did.

I agree. Chat to the Director. It’s important to know what she’s been given, not just for your DD, but for the child the formula belonged to. Did they go hungry?
Nothing might have happened on this occasion but certainly a chance for a systems review

I would send an email and ask for an email response, rather than verbal. I hope you get the answers you need.

Id be asking he director to investigate who prepared your dd’s bottles today and what was actually used.

Thank goodness she doesnt have an allergy but obvs has a prescription formula for a reason so she should only be given her own.

For her educators to not be able to explain the situation is rather suspicious too
