Just curious if anyone else’s asd child loves toy story movies?
My eldest son used to watch the first and second ones on repeat. Then his brother who is 9 years younger was obsessed with the 3 movies from toddlerhood.
Now my 5 yr old daughter who I’m taking for testing in the new year has taken to watching them on repeat. Not copied behaviour because both sons now won’t even watch any movies!

Both boys also love spongebob and I’ve read that a lot of asd kids love spongebob too.
So I was wondering if toy story is one of those type of movies they gravitate toward.

DS2 was going through a bad school refusal stage there for a bit but now he seems over that hump and is actually happy to go again, I think me working now makes him know I won’t be home so he has to go. And not only is he going but he is kicking butt getting through all his school work and even got student of the week this week. Plus he has been invited to the channel 10 Christmas party this weekend so DH and I are travelling away overnight with him to go while the other 2 stay with my Mum who is visiting at the moment so he is really excited.

Both my boys were obsessed with it at one stage or another. There was a point where all 3 movies were played back to back for a solid 6 months. Until DS2 got interested in Cars. He has been in out of the Cars movies now for a couple of years... Not sure how much of Mater repeating the same lines over and over I can take.

Yes, my DS loves Toy Story movies and has a number of the toys etc. He was obsessed with Cars and Cars 2 for a good while too.

Funny you mention Spongebob - DS watched it for the first time on the weekend (Netflix) and he absolutely loves it!
