You probably need to use a lot more oil when cooking since there is no non stick coating

i was under the impression cast iron would require cooking with less oil because of the pan itself.

How can I ensure it’s seasoned well? I can’t cook with a lot of oil, it kills my stomach. So if I’m gonna have to cook with heaps of oil there was no point buying the cast iron pans

Yeah cast iron pans need quite a bit of oil for cooking. Maybe go back to non-stick?

    well crap.
What is the best way to season the pans? Maybe I get to a point where it’s not as bad. I’d prefer not to have to buy more pans.
