I’m gonna revive this thread again.. the pan we bought has lost all non stick it’s one of the worst pans we own now.

So I’m in the market for a good non stick pan. We were thinking cast iron but I don’t really know?

Does anyone have new recommendations, still agree with the recommendations they said in here before or have any ones to stay away from?
I’d be aiming for mid range price range. We can’t afford ridiculously expensive but won’t buy cheap if it’s not good enough.

    Thanks!!

Go for cast iron! They cook beautifully and last forever if you take care of them.

Not sure if I replied to the original but my "Scanpan CTX" is still going strong and my "Scanpan Classic" is still a piece of rubbish (but the nonstick hasn't "peeled" like cheap pans, just not amazing non-stick like the CTX).

Lodge is a very popular brand - we have their skillet and it's great!

Thanks! That’s the one I bought! So maybe you did suggest it haha. I bought the CTX and was absolutely in love with it and now it’s gone awful and I’m not sure why. It breaks my heart!

That’s the brand I was looking at! The prices look good for the size! I think I will definitely get one. We’ve said we would love one but never bought one

I’ve got this one and a smaller one and so far so good. The sales lady told me some story about how cooking with olive oil ruins the non stick, it’s not just my dishwasher abuse. So we now cook with rice bran oil, coconut oil or butter & finish with evo if it’s needed.

Another vote for SolidTecniks from me. We have a small one and large one, it's all we use. Yes you need to season it in the beginning (it comes with instructions) but after cooking you just give it a quick scrub while hot and it's clean. If you ever do wash it with detergent by mistake you just season it again. It has something like a 100 year warranty on it as well. Also there is no chemical non stick layer to contaminate food, it is pure metal and everything tastes better.
