Annoyed my childcare has given an official start date for dd2 as the 1st January. So I’m getting charged for a day which she can’t even attend as it’s a public holiday and hasn’t actually started yet

I am hoping this week is a better one for my pets than the last. We lost 2 chickens and a fish in 5 days

Does yours offer a makeup day for public holidays? Our centre offers a make up day within a month of a public holiday

No. I can apply for a limited number of holiday discounts which reduces the fee by 25%.

Very cheeky indeed. I wonder if I should bring it up? Or just consider it to be par for the course with childcare and them making money?
