I wonder if it's due to religious beliefs? I hope you find your donor soon maxmax, good luck to you.

Sorry @maxmax I haven’t been very active these last few months. To answer your question on South Africa earlier on the thread, I don’t know if they have Asian donors but it is free to register online on the egg donor agency websites and then you can search easily yourself to see. Nurture, Egg Donation SA, Baby2mom are some of the agencies.

I believe some people travel to Thailand and Malaysia for egg donation (not sure if that’s the write ethnicity for you).

The other option is the US. Conceptions in Hawaii is great (very big $$$s) and a more reasonable option is California IVF and I know a few people who have had good experiences with them. I would imagine they should have Asian donors being in California.

    Best of luck!

    R

Thanks Not religious. It's normal we all want someone biological similar to us.

Our cycle was in QLD. We found a donor through Egg Donation Australia forum online. The average wait to find a donor there is about 10 weeks

If you don't mind, may I ask how much you spent for it?

    Hi
In SA I used a known donor( friend )
I paid up front $9500. That covered counseling, egg collection, icsi, all bloods and scans
Separate was the meds, which was roughly $100
Then frozen transfer for me was about $1750 + 11 weeks of progesterone that wasn’t pbs covered, that was about $130 box.

I meant maybe not many Asian women donate eggs because it's against their religion. Just a thought though. Don't really know.
