Thanks for asking @gingermillie. BP testing at home has shown readings higher than they have been for me, but not too alarming at this point. Blood test tomorrow to make sure liver etc is functioning as it should. Fingers crossed!

Eating more protein has a protective factor for pre-e - have a read on the Brewer Diet.

Are you using manual bp equipment? It's just that electronic machines are contraindicated in pregnancy because they are inaccurate due to pregnancy changes.
Hopefully blood test is fine tomorrow. Not long to go now too!

I am using an electronic machine. My GP and midwife haven't suggested anything else. And I'm sure I'm not clever enough to do it manually even if i had a manual machine. I know it's not perfect, but i hope it's within range. I figure I'm kinda looking for patterns too - I've been taking my BP throughout pregnancy, so i know it's on the slow rise at least.

Didn't hear from midwife today re blood test, so hopefully it's ok at the moment? Will follow up next week.

that's what I figured too, and in hospital they used electronic machines. I actually took my home one in when I was admitted to see if it was close to what theirs reported and there wasn't that much difference.
