    Default New mother hamper

Wise ones I need your ideas!

A good friend has just had her 2nd baby and myself and another friend want to do a new mother hamper for her (we did a baby hamper up when she was pregnant so want this one to be solely for her). We were going to get her a bottle of her fave alcohol in there but she is breastfeeding so don't know if it would be appropriate?

    So far we have:
    - hydrogel disks
    - chocolate
    - bottle of her fave alcohol (maybe)
    - nipple cream
    - snacks (stuff like trail mix for when she is feeding bubby)

That's all we can think of! We are also doing a big cook up of meals for her that she can freeze and reheat.

What else could we include (if anything)?

** edit to add- our other halves are doing a similar thing but with 'guy stuff' for her partner so he isn't forgotten either!**

What a great idea! If it were me I'd love it to include some of the pregnancy food no nos, eg soft cheese. Comfy slippers maybe?

She didn't really limit food during her pregnancy but thank you for the suggestion! Slippers she has already.

A netflix gift card for those 3 am feeds.

    Fancy teas/coffees

Batches/rolls of Biscuits that she can freeze, pull out a roll cut a few rounds of and cook for a few minutes.

Thermos mug so she can still have a hot cuppa.

Healthy snack foods to eat while feeding.

Water bottle that she can keep where she feeds (this has been invaluable for me).

I also use a heat pack on my back most feeds when I'm feeding on the couch. Also good for the sore neck you get when you spend ages staring down at your baby either because you need to or because you can't help it

A non-spill water bottle with a straw. Seriously, this has been an actual lifesaver for me during those middle of the night feeds when I'm half asleep and half laid down

A decadent hand moisturiser and lip balm. I found that I felt so much worse on days when I didn't feel like 'myself' because I hadn't had time for my usual beauty/makeup routine. These things helped a little.
