Default My TTC Journey after 2 Miscarriages

Hi everyone. I just wanted to document my TTC journey somewhere and I thought here might be good because there is lots of wonderful advice.

Background: I have 2 children from my previous relationship, my youngest is nearly 6. My partner and I decided to have a baby of our own (after me being COMPLETELY DONE a few years ago, that all changed when I met DP lol). Here is my diary:

    Last contraceptive pill April 1
One day of bleeding April 5
Positive pregnancy test May 6 (no idea when I O'd)
    Miscarriage May 18 (approx 6.5weeks)

    AF returned June 13
    Positive OPK result June 24
    Positive pregnancy test July 11
Miscarriage July 12 (approx 4-5 weeks)

I had no issue previously TTC and had never had any losses. I went for blood test yesterday (10 tubes of blood!) and an ultrasound of pelvic area to check for any problems. I see my GP on Sunday for the results. My plan is to ask for a referral to my Ob. He also specialises in Infertility so I will feel comfortable with him.

My GP said 2 recurrent miscarriages over 30 is a medical coincidence 75% of the time, but because the 25% is so huge and I "don't have much time" (I'm 33, whaaaaat lol) he was happy to investigate and refer me on.

I guess I'm hoping my story ends here and I'm pregnant tomorrow with a sticky one , but I don't know that yet so for now I'm writing a journal here. Thanks for reading.

My pelvic Ultrasound showed no issues and my blood tests were fine. My HCG was down to 2 when I had the blood test 7 days ago so i am sure I will O soon. Not charting this cycle just trying to DTD as much as we can until AF returns and then I will use OPK again. Fingers crossed. I have a referral to my Ob to discuss recurrent miscarriages but worried about asking for time off work

Feeling a bit down today. It's 3 weeks since my most recent miscarriage so still waiting for AF. I stopped the pill 4 months ago now and all I've done is waste time with 2 miscarriages. Both pregnancies were conceived by accident (we are "trying" but first pregnancy it was literally days after stopping pill and before I started tracking so had no idea, second time we totally missed ovulation by 5 days so didn't think it was possible). Feels a bit cruel. Waiting for AF to return and my appt with FS next week.

Today is CD5 and I am seeing the FS next week. It's actually my Ob who delivered my other 2 (5&7yo) so he knows me kind of. I think he will be alarmed to see me again because I bit his head off 5 years ago when he suggested number 3

Saw my FS/Ob today. Having a scan next Tuesday before I ovulate to check my uterine lining is right to conceive. At this stage no change other than a bunch of blood tests next week before the scan and then answers that afternoon. If all goes well he will tell me exactly when to DTD and I conceive will start progesterone and low dose aspirin for the pregnancy. Weekly bloods and scans from 5 weeks. Fingers crossed for a sticky one.

I had a scan today to check my uterine lining. Needs to be 6mm to sustain a pregnancy and mine is 12mm . There is a healthy looking follicle on my left ovary about to release an egg, the follicle is 22mm. I had bloods done and then the results - DTD tonight and tomorrow night. If AF hasn't arrived by 30th Aug I will have bloodwork done to see I I have conceived. Cross everything for a sticky one please xx
