Wherever you live you will make it work no matter how many children you have.

With different car seat brands and configurations you can fit 3 seats in even little hatchbacks.

House space regardless of how many people you make do

I have a saying that I like to tell my friends - the only people who get to have input on your decisions are the ones who have to live with the consequences! So basically, they can all bugger off with their opinions on your life choices. Do what makes you happy and it's right for you.

I live in Qld, housing prices here are better than Sydney and Melbourne, but I believe that pay rates are actually a bit less, so it kind of reduces that gap I guess?

The thing I dislike most about QLD is the heat...OMG the heat! 😓 But the thing I disliked most about Melbourne was that it could be overcast for months on end... so I guess there's just no pleasing me!

I have lived in QLD all my life and I love it (although I also dream of one day living in Melbourne) housing prices depends on where you want to live same with jobs and what your career is.

I love living in Melbourne however we were lucky in 2013 to see house prices fall and we were able to move closer to the city (we used to live 28km / 32 min away from the city and now we live 19km / 26 min away), not much difference but in peak hour traffic it is! Also public transport is cheaper for us now because we are in zone 1 rather than zone 2.

Like most cities there area certain areas to avoid due to crime and drugs etc, thats not avoidable. Maybe do your research first.
What is your housing budget like?
Will you be working in the city?
Do you prefer near the beach / country?
Do you mind the outer suburbs? (some areas are in desperate need of high schools and other facilities for growing families).

Default 'idiot for having a 3rd child'

My dad got made redundant at the company he worked at in NSW where we live. He now works in Melbourne on a FIFO basis. He found more job prospects there than in NSW.

Your family saying there are none doesn’t make sense... what do they think the people who live there do? Lol!

I will add though my parents were considering relocating to Melbourne but decided against it due to the increasing crime rate & African gang violence. Also they said a lot of overseas investors are buying out a lot of the market there too :/

Apologies to the last poster - not suggesting you are a spammer at all, but it looks like a thread that's been in the spammers' sights and they use it as a gentle intro.
