Default Do you think I can just ask for a refund?

I bought a large corner lounge and about 8 weeks in the fabric starts to peel quite badly they send out a technician to fix. In about another 8 weeks it was badly peeling again, technician came out and said needs to be replaced fabric much be defective. 20 weeks later our new lounge arrived it had blue threads and sticky glue all over it! Technician comes back out and fixed it and said they have put the fabric on inside out. It looked fine and I kinda just had enough of dealing with them. 8 weeks later it's peeling again, technician comes to fix, another 8 weeks they send another company out to fix, another 8 weeks same company comes to fix but said they won't do it again as it's thining the fabric to much. After many phone calls they want a second opinion so send out the original technician, he agreed nothing can be done it's a fault in the fabric.

So do you think I am within my rights to ask for a refund? It's a $7000 lounge i have missed work to get the technician out and really disappointed with the quality of the product.

I think you should. For $7,000, you expect better quality. I think if you want a refund, insist on it.

I'd say you can ask for a refund. They have tried multiple times to repair it and it hasn't worked. It isn't a cheap lounge and given the situation, they should refund it.

Yes, I think you should pursue it.

I would expect a great quality couch for 7K. Seriously.

Yes, most definitely request a refund! Sure they've done everything to help you but for that price, id be p*ssed!
I purchased a lounge a few weeks back, it's already faulty too. I'm about to ask for a refund if they can't get it sorted within the next few weeks.

    yes most definitely

demand it and dont take no for an answer.

After that many times, you are well and truly within your rights to demand a refund.

I would think you were well in your rights for a refund given it's a faulty product. Maybe contact the consumer affairs/ACCC for further guidance and/or to make a complaint. For $7000 I would not expect to have so many issues.

After fixing it 4 or 5 times already do t give them the choice to fix it again. Stand your ground hard and tell them if they don't refund you then you will go to consumer affairs.

You do not have to get it repaired that many times.
