Default ftb supps 2017 where is yours going ?

Another year, and tax time is upon us.

What are you doing this year with your ftb supps?
With the ever rising costs of living, raising children, school fee's, and everything else, for us, it is a small top up on some winter items, clothes, and 3 more fruit trees again this year and rest into savings.

None of it is going into bills as bills exist all year round!
Savings and locking it away until we really do need it.

Hate to imagine what times will be like for families in the next 5 yrs with so many cut backs.

My ftb supps and tax return goes on car rego which is due end of July.

Anything left I put on the credit cards and hope it's enough to clear them.

I usually do a budget every July and try and put money aside for bills instead of scrambling when they come, but I'm a little addicted to online shopping. I'm working on that- it helps I'm running out of things to buy lol

We don't get any FTB but our tax returns will clear my credit card once and for all, and whatever's leftover we'll put it into savings. Trying to get at least a couple of months worth of living expenses behind us as DP is hoping for a career change soon - we'll need a buffer if he's out of work for a while.

FTB Supplements will go towards a family holiday in Canberra on the October long weekend, so DD can spend time with an aunt and uncle, rather than them coming to visit us like they usually do.

Tax return will only be just under $500, so not sure what I'll do with that yet.

Might be a silly question but the centerlink website is a little confusing. Ftb supplements is that what you get if you haven't been calming it fortnightly?

This year your families income needs to be 80K or less to receive any ftb supps

We just updated ours again and we get nothing anymore as the threshold for income per household has changed to earning over $100k and your cut off for any ftb well that's what we where told

This is what I was looking at, I guess this doesn't mention ftb part b though so maybe under 100k with that? I'm not exactly sure, I find this ftb business very confusing tbh
