Default Transporting Gonal F injection while out for dinner etc.

    Hello!
I am just about to start my Gonal F injections for my first cycle of IVF. I will be taking them at 9.30pm as that is the easiest time for me to remember as I go to bed early during the week. However on weekends I am liable to be out later then that for dinners etc. I was just wondering how you transported it? Did you have an ice pack/cool bag etc? The nurse said that it is fine for hours out of the fridge once you open it and I can just take it in my bag as the weather is not hot at the moment.
Any advice or opinions regarding this would be greatly appreciated as I really don't want to do the wrong thing.

    Thanks

I just used to put it in my handbag. You wouldn't want to use a cold needle (it stings) so you generally take it out of the fridge to warm up before using anyway. As long as it's not sitting in direct sunlight, it shouldn't be an issue.
