Dear Parents and Caregivers,

You are invited by the University of Adelaide in South Australia to participate in the research project described below.

What is this project about? It is strongly acknowledged that parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder face many unique challenges that may contribute to poor mental health and well-being. This project seeks to investigate the factors that contribute to well-being among parents of children with ASD. Areas of focus will include parenting stress, psychological distress, stigma, social support and attitudes towards oneself.

Better understanding of the experiences of parents is crucial for providing effective support services.

Why me? As the parent or caregiver of a child that has been diagnosed with ASD that is currently living in Australia, we are interested in your experiences within the above areas of focus.

What is involved? Participation involves the completion of an online survey. The questionnaire will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and is available for you to complete at your convenience during the data collection period.

What about my privacy? Your privacy is protected as the survey is anonymous. No information that can identify you will be used in the study findings or any publications resulting from this research.
