    Default 14 Weeks and paintballing?

    Hi,
It's DH's birthday this weekend and we are finally going paint-balling as he has been talking of doing for the past few years.

The issue is that we have just the minimum number of people required. One of our guest just got food poisoning and isn't sure to come. If he doesn't, we're on the limit, if I also don't play, we're below the limit.

I have never gone to a pain-ball place before. I know they provide vests for girls but still, just wondering if it's ok to do at 14 weeks. I would obviously take it easy and probably wouldn't participate in every games, just a couple so that the whole team can actually play.

    Any experience?

I haven't done it but DH has and has come home with welts from being hit.
I wouldn't play if I was pg- I don't even think they'd allow you to.
Alternatively, I'd go, and get one of the guests to shoot your foot within the first 10 seconds of the game so that you've met the number of guests required. But no way I'd play the game otherwise.

I wasn't until the numbers became a problem. And i was wondering if maybe i was being "too soft" about it.

oh well fingers crossed that that guy recovers by Sunday and nobody else pulls out

I am also thinking that the place's T&C's might prevent me from playing which we might be able to use as a way of not loosing our deposit and ensuring the others can play.

Nope. The bruising from paint ball can be incredible!

I've been paintballing. No way I'd remotely consider it when pregnant.

Definitely not. Getting shot by those in the stomach is equivalent to being punched in the stomach.

Could you ask if you pay for the minimum players if the others could still play?

I'm not sure. They were a bit particular about numbers. I just hope it won't be an issue on the day. Most of our friends will make a 2-3hours trip each way for it so i'd be pretty upset if they can't play because we're one person under the limit.
They're not open on Friday, we'll have to call them tomorrow

Thanks all for your replies. Good to see i was right and not being overly soft.

Definately not. When you go to those places they should have insurance forms asking about your health etc. I wanted to go on a Segway and I wasn't allowed when I was 19weeks
