Our local pool ran a exercise and swim class for mums and babies under 6 months. DS was about 10 weeks when we started. It was in the hydropool and he used to sleep so well afterwards.

I wouldn't take them swimming in a public pool before 6 months, and I wouldn't bother with swimming lessons before 18m to be honest

Both children were in the pool with us by 10 weeks old. They loved it!

4 months, and she's just turned 11 months.
I can see a huge difference in her skills already, even though she's young

6 weeks for DS and 8 weeks for DD ( 6 weeks prem).both in a heated pool. I used to just float them on my hands. It was a great relaxant and they both slept soundly for their afternoon sleeps

I didn't bother with lessons for him as a baby, seemed like a waste of money tbh. He started when he was 5 years old and has progressed a lot in 2 years.
