Default Monash IVF Clayton? Recommend me a specialist?

Ok so I contacted Monash IVF and picked Dr Nicole Hope but not much comes up for her and I am thinking perhaps I need to be doing more research to pick the best specialist for me.

Bit of background.. i have no known fertility issues but I have a chromosomal translocation 14:21 and want to avoid future heartache by doing IVF with PGD.

So far my research indicates that the most important thing here is the specialist you pick... which got me thinking maybe i need to look at someone like Lynn Burmeister or another raved about specialist and pick another location.. even though Monash Clayton is my closest clinic.

    Any thoughts?

Hi Simil, I am one of Lynn's patients and just wanted to let you know that I do all my blood tests and ultrasounds at Clayton because it is closer for me. I meet with Lynn and my IVF nurse at Richmond and egg retrieval and transfer are at Hawthorn. Doing the monitoring at Clayton does help to cut down the travel time.

Default Monash IVF Clayton? Recommend me a specialist?

    Hi Simil,

I have a friend who saw Gareth Weston at Monash Clayton. I don't know if he is still consulting there or not. She raved about him. I had Nicole Hope do two of my embryo transfers. She seemed really nice but have no idea what she is like otherwise.

If your main purpose is PGS, I don't really think it matters who you choose. You have to meet with a genetics counsellor and the lab update you on your embryos. I got a lot of information from the lab and not so much my fs when I was at Monash.
