This has probably been asked before, so I am sorry if I am doubling up. Any suggestions on what to use to prevent stretch marks? what have you used that actually worked? At the moment I am using bio oil, but a few people have said coconut cream. Thanks xx

I heard that stretch marks are more genetic, you'll either get them or not BUT I've still moisturised the whole pregnancy and don't have stretch marks...could be cream/oil, could genetics.
I've used Palmers Coco Butter moisturiser (for stretch marks). It rubs in well and was using it twice a day. Then I found Palmers Coconut Oil and have been using it at night for the past month...my belly is nice and soft by the morning and it smells nice
Keeping skin moisturised is the key - good luck xx

Totally genetic! I had the bad with number 1 & 2 but number 3 I've got hardly any, and I'm much bigger (Polyhydramnios & massive baby)... so moisturise for comfort but it won't prevent stretch marks as in haven't done anything different... the best advice I was given about stretch marks was save your money on fancy potions & creams & if it really worries you later have laser therapy to get rid of them.

Totally genetic as the others have already said, but I used Bio Oil throughout all my pregnancies (I moisturised daily anyway) and it was also touted as being good for scars too. I just liked that it glided across the skin, and wasn't too greasy like other body oils. The scent was also soft enough to not be bothersome as well.
In the end I didn't get any stretch marks, but most likely a combination of genetics and moisturising, I think?Last edited by Mod-Uniquey; 15-05-2017 at 05:57.

I don't have stretch marks.
Didn't use anything.
I read that its 100% genetic. If your mum has them, you'll have them. If she doesn't, you wont. My mum doesn't have them.
