Default Anyone have a child on Ritalin?

***First up I do not want any comments about my decision to put my son on Ritalin - I am not here to justify my choice only to say it was an extremely difficult decision made after much deliberation and I have no regrets at all***.
Now with that out of the way Does anyone have a child on Ritalin that is only given on school days? We have just started this ( he's only been on it for 2m) and we had an extremely challenging weekend - the hardest part being his extremely short temper and lack of tolerance for just about anything LOL.
I really want this to work - school days only dosing - but not sure what to expect. He is on 3/4 tablet in the am and 1/2 tablet at lunch time. He is 7 and I have two others a DD-9 and DS-4. DS4 tends to deliberately wind him up which he then explodes to and we are working on DS4 to not do this. Thanks in advance - this has been a very long journey.

My DS1 was on Ritalin but is now on Concerta. He takes it 7 days a week though and always has. I hope someone can help you out :-)

My dd 8 is on 1 Ritalin on school days only of a morning. She seems a lot tireder and a bit crankier by the end of the day because I think she is having to work a lot harder during week at school so is exhausted by end of day. She's not been on it long so haven't had a proper interview with teacher yet but hoping she's improved at school and just needs time to adjust and get used to it.

My eldest is on Ritalin. He's 7 and only taking a tablet on school days.
On the weekends it's a battle when we go out :-(
