I'm waiting for DS to go to bed so I can watch the detail on abc.
Housing affordability is always of interest for me although I expect very little real action in this area.
I'm also keep to hear what, if any, provisions there are for the various national partnership agreements (homelessness, family violence in particular) I'm not expecting anything tbh since they've already announced 12 month extensions. I've already prepared our media release in response since I'll doubt there will be anything my org will be happy about. I'm forever hopeful though that one day I'll get a nice surprise!

I have no idea when any of these things are happening. If it weren't for the fact I was on here, I wouldn't know about it at all.
Can someone give a summary when it's done?? I don't expect much will relate to me anyways. I never know what's going on haha

@Ahalfdozen a couple of links on winners and losers in the budget
Depending on where you like your news

    Sorry for the long links.

To be honest I'm completely underwhelmed tonight.

The first home buyers idea is a joke. So you pay a tiny bit less tax on voluntary contributions to super that you can draw on for a deposit.

Geez this govt is so out of touch with the average joe

    — Changes to the PPL scheme will be scrapped under a $17b saving for unlegislated policies, aka “zombie measures”

    — Will mean 72,000 people won’t see a scaling back of payments and 7000 people who were due to have entire payment cut will now not suffer that fate.

    Phew!
