Like you I had spotting that a scan confirmed was a miscarriage (should have been 8 weeks, measuring under 6) and the bleeding/cramps then ramped up on their own. I spent two evenings on painkillers wrapped around a heat pack (it was awesome for the tummy cramps), the first night I passed most of it, it improved the following day and the cramps came back the second evening. A few weeks later I was still getting heartburn etc and got a positive test but it was just my levels still dropping so be aware it could take like a month to drop off fully. I had the scan then to be sure and it confirmed everything had passed. Take care.

Thanks for sharing. The heat pack was a god send last night. My cramps have come back just now at least I have a few more days before I have to go back to work.

I was so wrong about the worst being over, last night was the worst night of my life. At 9pm the cramps started again only this time much worse, I haven't had a baby but they were like what I would assume contractions would be like and coming and going very few minutes. Pain killers did nothing.

At about midnight the pain peaked and I was all hot and sweaty, I told hubby if the pain doesn't subside soon I may need an ambulance as I thought I was going to vomit or pass out or both. A few minutes later I started gushing (sorry if too graphic) out quite a lot of blood and clots.

I started feeling better so I went back to bed and finally got some sleep. The pain was still there but had eased. I then spent roughly every hour running back to the toilet as the gushing continued.

I still have quite a lot of blood this morning but it seems to have eased a little. Hopefully that is the end of it!

If you fill a maternity pad within an hour from memory.

If in doubt get checked out.

It's hard to know cause when I can feel it I'm running to the toilet so I don't soak a pad.

have never had a d&c but i read your other post about the gushing. if you're concerned at all, i'd go in and get checked. alternatively, have you tried phoning the hospital and describing what you're experiencing? they may be able to advise based on what you say
