    I saw this thread title so went straight to my BBC news app, this story was nowhere to be found in top stories or U.K. News.

    I'm intrigued now, I'm finding it so odd that sky news has not commented at all, albeit the French election is big news in the EU, but surely a royal emergency would surely get some air time.....I think it's going to end up being a drill or something

    Default Emergency at Buckingham Palace.

    Might be one of those meetings that HR call about the communal fridge being cleaned and to not leave food there.

    Will be awkward that the media are gathered for that.

    Over in the UK at the moment not much being reported on tv at all they are saying it was nothing of huge concern. Official announcement 10am uk time.

    I think it will end up being something really mundane. They've said the Queen and Prince Phillip are fine and I highly doubt that either the Queen or Prince Charles would ever give up the throne and pass it on to the heir.

    It is very strange that they called the meeting so early in the morning though.
