    Default Braxton hicks

Holy Braxton hicks batman! I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I've been having reasonably painful Braxton hicks since about 3pm this afternoon. They're not super regular but there's at least 1 every 15 minutes with some a lot closer together. Anyone know how to make them stop? I've had the occasional 1 or 2 for a few weeks but this is a tad much.

Can you get off your feet and have a lie down? That was the only thing that calmed my BH down with both DS2 and DS3. Easier said than done I know!

No expert but I had them pretty bad with my third. Usually they'd go away with a bath, lying down, sometimes I'd have to use the arm of the couch to rest on my tummy without actually putting weight on my stomach, and making sure my bladder wasn't full.

Thanks. I'm just putting dd to bed so hopefully I can lie down for a while now. I'd really like them to stop. I wonder if the more frequent bh in subsequent pregnancies is a common thing? I hardly remember any with dd. I can't say I'm a fan!

Also drink some water, dehydration can trigger them... I've been getting them pretty bad every night since about 29 weeks (I'm 35 weeks now) I didn't feel any with my first 2 pregnancies so this is new territory!

Lying down plus water seems to have done the trick. Thanks everybody.
