@gorgeousgeorge macaroni bobby! effing hilarious! Geesus lady, superglue in your teeth...you
got 9 lives girlfriend! Your community sounds great - what a great tribute for a troubled genius...

Fake drinking - I'm a expert on that one!

    1. Soda and lime look like a good G&T or Vodka Soda

    2. If handed a drink take it with you to the bathroom and spill bits out.

    3. Water the plants inconspicuously.

    4. Leave it somewhere, make an excuse (someone knocked it over) get yourself a replacement non alcohol drink.

    5. Say you're antibiotics, can't mix em.

    6. Say you're doing kind of office healthy challenge.

    7. Fake a hangover (my personal favourite). Had a freaking huge one last night (I didn't) and if I even look at a drink, I'll heave.

Anyone got new ones to add to the list?

A friend of mine only drinks bourbon... she filled an empty bottle with tea to take to a BBQ but then had to drink tea mixed with coke all afternoon.
Mine favourite the good old "I'm doing febfast/dry July/ on a detox" but I am normally such pi$$head that that only works at work functions... my friends would not believe me for a second!

@skeeter - so sorry you decided it was necessary to cancel the Wazza appointment but if it wasn't going to work for you practically then it makes sense. So sorry to hear you are so sad at the moment but its understandable you have had one hell of a journey and you are still grieving your little ones and that might take a long time. Hope you are getting some help to guide you through this hun, thinking of you xx
@Spazzyp - Congratulations on being PUPO hun, fantastic that you still had 5 going strong you can't ask for more than that. Hope the tweaks with intralipids from dr M help and you get that bfp hun x @Phia - Thinking of you hun x

Great news spazzyp. Hopefully the one on board goes the distance and you can go back for bub 2 and maybe bub 3.

Phia I think you are waiting for a transfer? If so, the best of luck to you.

AFM nothing to get excited about. Not a lot of follicles and growing slowly. Originally I though epu would be Tuedsay but I will be going to see my fs for a scan and then will make a decision as to what to do.

I am also mourning Chris Cornell but had other loves before him (Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder). After Cobain's death I also followed Dave Grohl and like the Foo Fighters.

Gorgeousgeorge one of my brothers is going to see Bodycount in Melbourne. Years ago I went to see Public Enemy and they came on stage late and Flava Flav came out with his massive clock and I thought, oh look at the time. I have to be getting ready for work in a few hours. I felt old!!!!!!

@Spazzyp oh no, i was on the nirvana train. But we can still be friends ;-) I love eddie too but not as much as kurt. I actually had the chance to see pearl jam in year 8. All my friends hired a bus to canberra and made someone's "cool" mum go with them as chaperone so parents would let them go. Lol, i didnt go coz i felt id be betraying kurt. Stoopid decision. Even though its not good that we are geriatric fertility wise, i bloody nice that we are all pretty much the same age had our coming of age in the same decade. xox
Its been nice to speak of some irrelevant happy things today. Hope everyone is cool with the non fertility chats xox Hope we are keeping @Phia entertained during her solo time in Athens xox

@Phia 8 ) throwing yourself down at the bar and sighing, "omg i just need a glass of water, i think"
    9) drinking your drink while closing one eye and making a pained face
    10) sipping the first half and then loudly exclaiming "omg i cant finish that, im out"
    11) taking an pre'-emptied wild turkey can and a can of unopened coke into the pub in your handbag and transferring the coke into the turkey can in a toilet cubicle.
And yeah ive done the tipping fown the toilet, surrepticoulsy leaving a full glass near a pokie for some sad soul to find and drink hopefully.
My problem is i know all the bar staff (used to teach most of them) and i only ever ever order "a wild turkey and coke in s 7 glass" i literally haven't drank any other type of alcoholic drink since 1995 and the bar staff see me coming and are usually quite proud to have already poured my drink by the time i get to the bar! Its like cheers, where everybody knows your name! Seriously im not an alcoholic but ive just come to realise how ingrained drinking is in australian culture. Lol, nobody would believe im on a detox either as most friend know im doing ivf n theyd be totes onto me right away. Once i was so hungover that i actually forgot to make myself a coffee in thr morning. Got to the pub in the arvo, gad a splitting headache, felt like sh ite and realised i hadnt had a cuppa all day, so i asked my friend behind the bar to make me a cappuccino and he goes "congratulations". I said "what for?" And he replied, "you didnt ask for a turkey, so i assumed you're pregnant". Haha, I said, "i wish mate". But its been kinda fun and cool to be able to drive home. I dont think anyones onto me yet but geez it requires some effort. Lol, spent $3 at the pub last night. That was pretty cool too.

Yep @Spazzyp thats me with my friends or ive been turning up late n saying "aaaw well if i just sit on these 2, I'll be able to drive home so its not worth having another one" then pretending im really kind and taking one for the team and saying "i can give yas all a lift home then", so thats been shutting them up. Dont think that will work for long though.
