    Hi

    I have been reading the thread. I was wondering if I may please join as well?

    I have been undergoing IVF for 2.5 years ( 5 egg pick ups) with my own eggs tested for PGD. I am now 43 and my partner and I have ended up with 6 tested embryos suitable for transfer. Three didn't thaw for various reasons, one didn't take, one ended up as a blighted ovum and one pregnancy stopped growing at just over 6 weeks.

    It sounds like my situation is not so uncommon. I am sorry that people in this blog are having the same struggles that we have had.

    @Spazzyp sorry to hear your scan wasn't reassuring like we were all hoping. It's good that your levels are increasing though. Just as I was feeling a bit better I have started bleeding again. Hopefully tomorrow my levels are still good too.

    @Morning -
    Welcome to the thread - I'm
    Sorry to hear about your journey. Ideally it'd be great to use our own eggs, but sometimes they just run out of puff - volume might be ok, but it's the quality that bites many older ladies.

    I hope that your have better luck next time.

    After disappointment with my own eggs, I'm on a donor egg journey in Greece - it ups the stats to above 60% . I'm gong back for my second attempt soon.

    The women here are true warriors so pls shout out with questions or share your journey.

    @cag14 - Welcome back! Fingers crossed that this is it for you. It's been a rough road. If Richmond can win the grand final after 37 years surely there's gotta be some good energy whirling around this universe!

    Thanks ladies, I swear can feel your positive vibes.

    A very interesting thing did come out of Thursday and today’s scan... they said I might have a septate or bicornuate uterus. The sonographer at the hospital said that it was nothing to worry about, just a “normal variation” but today’s sonographer was a little more concerned. Of course I have googled it, and IF it is a septate uterus it is known to cause recurrent miscarriage. And it can be surgically fixed. I’m a little hopeful that I finally might have an answer... but not getting too carried away yet as a) only a MRI can tell which one I have and b) I’m sceptical as no one has picked this up before! It’s a congenital abnormality, so I always would have had it, and I have been scanned sooooo many times, both pregnant and not pregnant. The 2 cavities were quite obvious today, surely if this is what I have it would have been picked up before?

    Anyone else on here had this or heard of this?

    Would Lynn have spotted it if you have a hysteroscopy or lap?

    Fingers crossed you have some answers and of course wishing you all the bestest vibes for positive news!
